A selection of teabags. hot chocolate and coffee sachets, a bottle of water, a cup and spoon, and one of those gadgets that plugs into the cigarette lighter then goes in the cup to heat the water, also some sugar, dried milk, and sachets of instant soup. Also lots of dry socks.

4C with a nagging, fresh NE'rly wind...No snow as yet, just the occasional passing drizzle-fest!:good:

Well the met office have actually just downgraded the southeast for tonight. Changed from 1-3cm to 1-2cm. Interesting

EDIT: ignore me think I’m looking at the wrong one? Think ours hasn’t been updated in 24 hours. Maybe because they’re unsure and waiting til last minute to update

Am I right in saying the flow is due to back more Easterly later on? Never a true easterly I appreciate that

Overnight showers should go increasingly more inland.

1300 today primarily good for Kent into East Sussex.

0700 Monday more of the region will be affected flow goes more easterly ENE my favourite direction.

Morning all, 5.3C here with a brisk wind which is making it feel a lot colder. MetO forecast looks promising for ❄❄❄

Just been on a long walk and that wind has quite a chill to it.

One thing I did notice, even though the wind is currently from the north east, the clouds were definitely moving east to west, which suggests the upper flow is more easterly.

This should push any showers further inland later.

I think that some of them might be trolling for 'likes', lass? Some of what they say reads like twaddle: it's going to snow; the PV is on its way; watch this space...Thank goodness we have some real pros, and ex-pros, on here!:good:

If we reach 4c, that’s only 2c below average. This is why I said it was shaping up to be quite a normal winter cold spell next week, but was bashed for saying so.

What are the 850 temps meant to be currently over our region?

Hmm so I would expect it to be a bit colder out there. Max temps in the region are about 5c at the moment.

If you’re very lucky and see shower after shower, they do appear set to to be of a decent intensity I’m going for a localised 10cm more widely 2-4cm those in west of region can’t see much if any.
