Yes, that Snow Cup thing, seemed to jinx our snow chances!! Had a brain haemorrhage/stroke, in Sept.2015, so absolutely no chance of me, engaging in that again, you'll be pleased to hear!! Although, I feel a lot better, still feel very fatigued, at times. The Snow Cup, was probably why my brain, blew up, in the first place!!:D Really did put a lot of work, into that.

Regards,

Tom:hi:

So sorry to hear that Tom, your absence has been felt here. Glad you are returning to health and posting again.

It seemed to rain all day yesterday, from here in Surbiton at 11am all the way down the A3 to Portsmouth for my son's first Special Olympics event of the season, and then all the way back again at 6pm.  At one point in Hampshire the little ice icon showed in my car during the return journey but otherwise a solid 5-6 degrees.

A bit of cloud, blue sky and sun peeping through this morning. Greatly excited by the cold and snow prospects for the next few days, but also keen to be able to make the flight to Austria on Wednesday!

Maybe it’s just becuase I was in and out of the car, but it didn’t feel that cold outside.

What are the 850 temps meant to be currently over our region?

Hi reefseeker,

Thanks for your very kind words. My daughter and her boyfriend jet off to Toronto tomorrow, for their snow fix. It's why I'm going over to Chislehurst, to house-sit, look after my son and 4 cats!! This is what awaits my daughter. Not really jealous!!:cold:

Have had two showers this morning one sleety and one had snow flakes.

Surprised as the last event before Christmas we only had rain.

Iam right on the coast at Holland on Sea..Essex.

Looking forward to tonight and tomorrow morning.

Isn't it better to have slightly deflated tyers in the snow?

It’s looking really good for Kent imparticular in the next 24 hours, I think i might be bit far north (Ipswich) for anything meaningful this time but remain optimistic. Looking at the radar there seems to be rash of showers really getting going down there! All eyes on the North Sea radar now...

Good graphic it just includes me too hehe. Localised’ I feel there could be more than 2-5cm.

I agree - Some places that see frequent heavy showers could see a very decent covering

North Kent snow shield holding strong, for now

A selection of teabags. hot chocolate and coffee sachets, a bottle of water, a cup and spoon, and one of those gadgets that plugs into the cigarette lighter then goes in the cup to heat the water, also some sugar, dried milk, and sachets of instant soup. Also lots of dry socks.
