Probably wet snow initially so big flakes but as the cold air really digs in by tomorrow evening, drier, smaller flaked snow..

Yes but not if your down by the coast or on the Thames estuary, be graupel most likely.

Just driven between Canterbury and Dover and the shower had a wintry flavour to it on the windscreen.

Quite right about the MOD thread it's best to be realistic. Anyway guys and girls I have just dusted the snowmaking machine and anyone is welcome to borrow it when it snows lol ?. I am so glad everyone on here seems down to earth and respectful.

Just got back to Walthamstow still bits of rain coming down but that wind feels colder a tiny bit. Will it or won't it we shall see tomorrow. Regards all ??

All really cold runs have disappeared from the ensembles. We need this to change if a special cold spell is to appear.

There has been a gradual warming of uppers over the past few runs which isn’t a great trend for us coldies.

Maybe the models are finding it hard to adjust to the MJO signal as it moves through phases.

Fingers crossed for upgrades over the next few days.

I'm worried tomorrow we will just see rain and sleet being so close to the sea

Don’t be surprised to see sleet dew points tad too high for now they’re marching our way though. It’s all sinking away south it’s very light and patchy might be a bit icy tomorrow morning in rural areas.

Remember - Tomorrow is transition time, the cold air is moving in and mixing down so don't be disappointed if you do see rain, especially coastal areas. It's Sunday night into Monday that the risk of snow becomes more interesting
