Let’s hope we get a Thames streamer and some sort of East Anglia streamer and also a Channel streamer. Then everyone will be happy :drinks:

Then we can all go and blow raspberries in the MAD thread?:ninja:

Yes! A whole SE thread set of streamers. Just so the mad thread can all be jealous of us for once :)

Convective showers are already beginning to build out to the East of the Thames Estuary.

Don’t forget the famed “Kent Streamer”.

I’d hate to miss out.:yahoo:

God the MoD thread is a nightmare. A newbie will have no clue. Some saying rain, some saying loads of snow. Warm, cold. BS , brilliant. I’ve got a headache just reading it

Was just reading about the 10 worst winters in UK history and they showed this picture from 1940...notice something quite remarkable?

Not to worry, this part of Suffolk isn't really famed for its streamers, either. I did have the good fortune to be in Bromley on Nov. 30th 2010, however; I thought the snow was never going to stop!:cold:

Best November snowfall around here ever that was, never thought it was possible to get such low temps in November on an easterly.

Dew points seem to have improved on the 12z GFS for tomorrow evening 21z (same time as chart you posted)

Perhaps new obs / data fed in suggesting a drier surface feed (lower DPs) as the Met O forecast for tomorrow issued earlier this afternoon (perhaps UKMet 06z) indicating showers wintry at first then rain or hail later, but this may change if the 12z data is right.

https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcpvj0v07#?date=2018-02-03

Interesting they mention hail though, as that suggests some decent convection.

I can confirm we're having a hefty shower from the east right now, don't think convection will be a problem.

Yes, a few weeks ago when the North and West were in the sweet spot and we were feeding off scraps I don’t remember anyone from the SE crew Tuting on their bonfire.

All a bit sad really.

The bad news is that all of the shower symbols have been removed from the Beeb's forecast for Norwich...with the noteworthy exception of the rain showers that are predicted for between ten and eleven tonight!:cray:

Yeah I agree this northern chip onthe shoulder thing really gets my ?, I’ve popped into their thread and was disappointed to read some really gfuqhgfpjhy remarks, exited pretty quick. It’s much kinder and civilised in here, hope we can keep it that way!
