In people’s honest opinion is it worth me getting another gas bottle for next week??? This is a serious question

Definitely yes, no matter what falls from the sky it is going to be bitterly cold for a good few days across the region, especially at night.

Yes, it will be cold to very cold, who knows about snow at this range though.

Not for bbq saying that we have been known to have a little Barbie even in winter. If my husband had the chance he would cook of one every day.

i'm having a bbq next week in the blizzards, or should that be snow grains

Gah it is supposed to be winter, it should be cold.  winter is about flurries of snow and wearing of jumpers. I'm finding all this hype rather yawns ville. If it is going to do 'winter' then good on it.

My new dress is super cosy, be it flapping in the wind.

I almost don't want to go to work today because I'll miss out on the 12z GFS rolling out, thankfully it's only a short 3 hour shift (pointless, I know)

So we are now at T72 range for the deep cold to be hitting EA-

My view would be that from 1pm Sunday we can start reviewing the radar for wintry flurries with the crossover more to snow late eve ( but could be a bit either side )

The variable is still the wind direction, it’s progged to be NE - indicating that Suffolk & Mid Kent etc will be exposed to snow flurries although models are beginning to make slight adjustments to a more ENE flow which would then include a larger slab of the SE seeing snow flurries -

Mon / Tues are open to variability at the moment but certainly a window for a streamer- The probabilities of this are directly correlated to the Speed at which the Atlantic tries to push SE - The slower the evolution the more chance of a streamer-

PS. ECM has east Kent at -8c overnight Thurs (18F)

I'm not worthy enough to even click on the mod thread yet alone read it and god forbid POST in it.

you have no concerns there.

Well the Met Office outlook is definitely an eye opener!

They’re fully onboard with the cold spell and hint at it lasting until the end of February.

I’m still not telling my family ?

I think I’ll be spending more time in here !

I have a final warning in mod thread or remainder of winter I won’t be able to post. I can’t quite see why some occasional very infrequent ‘relaxation’ from myself, in mod thread is so detrimental.

Better make sure this on topic too..  it’s quire cold and sunny.

Posts which were removed were apparently about the MeteoGroup takeover okay they are off topic but I just wanted to help & clarify. Seems you can’t even do that. Indeed.

It does tend to turn a bit crazy in there. I enjoy reading the in depth analysis from the more knowledgeable posters, but some in there just like to have a pop at people and it gets very childish.

The weather is a bit like my current issue of  vogue. Offers much but was full of ads.  15 ways to jump start your season.

There appears to be unrest.

Tis sunny.

I got banned from TWO last week from the mild crew..

yet there happy to keep Ian brown..

TWO forum is an absolute joke it is saturated by trolls of the mild variety. :nonono:

I feel a bad taste in my throat everytime I go in that mod thread only once or twice this winter. Previous winters I would always have a daily look sometimes, I sense a lot of them were booted from here. I think there are a couple who stand out but very few compared to here. Good riddance I’d say the disrespect you’ve been on there for years? Time / effort falled on deaf ears most of the time so probably not a bad thing.

Well it has been hyped so much that anything other than ice days and snow cover, will be a let down
