l I have been studying the seagulls on the Thames right here from the pier in Erith by the Morrisons and they are flying south, I got just as much chance of getting it right as any of them! ;)

My seagull is curled up in his basket with a blanket and a full tummy, does that portend a very cold february?

Disclaimer - that's his natural state all year round

Do you keep him - unless it’s a girl? On a leash perhaps its ability to fly is lessened by you fatting him up I can imagine the commotion in my kitchen it is preparing for the big freeze.

He's lazy and would much rather I carried him, than have to fly.:)

This one prefers cuddling, he only pecked me hard once when he decided he hated the vet. Why he didn't peck the vet, though :cc_confused:

Have to bring weather into this, looks like it could snow here around second week of february if model thread is right.

I can remember an enormous black backed gull that we used to 'feed' lighter-fluid sandwiches - and it always came back for more...They be tough wee beasties, those Easter Rossian seagulls!:D

Mines an enormous black back, its impressive to have it standing on my head with its wings out at around a six foot span.dont think i would feed it that though.

Sounds cute! I’d love to see a pic of him in his basket, if you get a chance.

Just went into garden, bit of fog around, bit damp, no breeze, not terribly cold.

People always laugh at me for having extra tins of soup, dried milk, tinned veg, etc on hand, but very handy in the bad weather, also used to find those part baked baguettes good, you can just keep them in the freezer.its also good to keep a few tins of fruit on hand. And potatoes can keep for ages also cheese in the freezer, have extra butter sread in the fridge. don't forget loo rolls, etc. and you're sorted for the freeze. oh and pet food.

Very organised

Sorry I know I’ve posted three times  it’s a beautiful morning here. Very cold and very frosty, thick ice on the cars. It’s lovely to see the sun and dry roads. I have just seen the bbc forecast and it’s for more rain later today :wallbash: though Which is depressing to say the least.

It’s quite a nice day here, despite the very gusty wind. Blue, sunny skies and feeling mild at 12C.
