We really dodged that, it was bad enough here with all the fallen trees.

Yes, I guess much of our region was ‘lucky’ (more towards the SW). Watching footage of the winds in Holland, with people being blown about and roofs flying off, was quite dramatic!

The whole idea of snow in the SE Sunday relies on the energy continue to slide SE on a negatively tilted trough - rather than the GFS that becomes positive

look at the IKON 12z & JMA 12z you see this happening

Southerly winds / SE winds - Ok

SW winds a problem!!

North & East better but not exclusive if you have elevation ( 100/150 M + )

Some interesting radar watching going on over next 48 hours!

Did a model show a chance of wintriness tomorrow for some? Or am I dreaming...

North of the M4 might see something transitory, Euro4 shows rain in our area, Met showing sleet north of London.

The north seems to have had constant snow showers on and off for days and days this winter

If I see more Northerners moaning how they dont get snow ill get angry

I will

Current d-p's..

Again standing steady north m4..

London southwards very marginal..

And given front warming highly unlikely for any snow away from highest elevations-our region.

And that looks a transiant affair..

Sunday may offer better prospects!???

Even if it does snow,it's pointless, wont be able to enjoy it,as it will rapidly turn to rain and get washed away, really is a crappy winter,if people are getting excited at a slight chance of transient wintryness, this winter is pants, end of,such a letdown,I really thought it would be our year

I do hope this doesn't change too much!

Yep-as again this is high res-icon...for sunday!!..

Tonight early tomoz-potential fading by the hour..

Although sunday was a regional best chance from the off.

And the icon is of reasonable reliance..

Although again; looks very quick/transitional below 100 asl!!!

Let's face it, it's a damn sight better than the last couple of years.

@tight isobar True, it probably will fade closer to Sunday. Then I will update the map.

Not expecting the current version to come off at all---although it would be nice!

Agree..

Although as steve murr alludes- ^^..

An ajustment of veer-south/south easterly could see a quite different outcome....

One to eyeball!??

As expected...its clear to note d-ps on the increase as feature moved/moves eastwards...warm sector air well into the mix..with all but east/north east...and substantial elevation in the snow zone.

Sunday will likely fare the same.. .preety drab all-in -all!!!

Another long range forecast goes bust, so hard to predict anything past a couple of weeks no matter what the drivers may be. Massive respect for those that keep trying though. ??
