Wow a nice crisp winters morning, with frost and sun, haven't had many of these this year to spite all the cold weather.

Nothing interesting about rain:rofl:

Another thing.. Why do they spell pheasant with a ph.. Why don't they just spell it with an f:unknw:

maybe because there is a law called feasant which is to do with damage on a person's land, might get a bit confusing if they thought the damage was caused by a pheasant.

Beautiful morning here, clear skies and sunny with a moderate SW’ly breeze. Frosty to start, now 2C.

Sad to hear at least 10 people died yesterday in Holland with additional deaths in Germany from that storm yesterday. It must have deepened further as it moved over there, storm damage is widespread.

The text forecast for here for Sunday has gone from Rain, preceded by snow, on Wednesday, to rain perhaps preceded by snow, yesterday, to just rain today.

The automated forecast is also showing rain for here tomorrow with a max temp of 3c. Arghhhh!:wallbash:

Beautiful blue sky, frosty and sunshiney morning; first time scraping the ice of the car in a quite a while. Days like this show how low the sun still is in the sky, with it straight in the eyes while driving and leaving me squinting at many a wintry scene in the park. Not sure if the dog was unusually energetic or just wanted to keep running on the cold ground!

Hello all - anyone checked out the ARGEPE 06Z? Snow line much further south on Sunday than on other models. All the way down to Oxford/Berkshire/Surrey/Kent for several hours. There's going to be some frayed nerves on here in the next 48 hours!!

Id think in this set up you would see falling snow that would struggle to accumulate but yes there is a chance this system moves more south and allows you to get into the zone of settling snow

Categorically NO. The GFS shows rain for most if not ALL southern England south of the m4 I'm afraid expect cold rain and you won't be disappointed (again) some people never learn

Cant discount it though. Also last time I checked, Arpege was the higher resolution model out of the two and performed better in most recent snow events...

I would be more than happy to be proven wrong . Also even if it were to fall as snow it would Be transient and would Melt rapidly at the slightest increase in dew points or temps so hardly worth getting hyped up about to be fair. What I'd like to see (at least modelled) would be an easterly then it's game on for our little corner

Oh sleet how delightful there's nothing quite like a meaningful upgrade .... So spoilt I'll have to dig out my rose tinted glasses so I can pretend it's exciting and when I make it back indoors from the snow drift I'll dig out my shorts and t shirt in readiness for the blowtorch high next week (a dead cert)

We really dodged that, it was bad enough here with all the fallen trees.

I think the GFS has got most of these events wrong this winter, even at T6

ARGEPE 12Z back to north of London
