I think the uncertainty is a big factor of whether people are interested or not, plus I think we've already had windier then what the max overnight could be. It could be disruptive but nothing out of the ordinary is forecast

I think people n the SE are bored of the wind. I think meto might even be bored of it now to,( warning has gone) maybe they think we’re so used to seeing wind and rain now that they won’t bother reporting it we had wind last night and rain yesterday unfortunately were seeing it to much so it’s just depressing. I really can’t be bothered to stay up to see if it’s extremely windy. Now if they forecast snow even just one tiny flake I would have my  nose pressed up against the glass ALLLLLL NIGHT

Pressure looks to be below 990 now at 988, also surprised this chat is not busy as its going to be the windiest night this season.

The weather played it down, 50-60 max for us, no one thinks it will be notable.

Maybe that’s a bad thing depending if you want a lesser strength storm. What with that snow warning. :p

As far as I can see myself, no. Maybe a wintry mix of sleet and possibly wet snow mixed with the rain for some in the north of the region for a time. Very marginal and one to watch but I can't see anything but 1-2cm over some hills at the end of the day.

We will get snow eventually, even if it isn't as often as we might like. Sometimes we just have to deal with the fact that we can't have everything, you have to think of the Scottish folk who would die to live down south in summer where you are guaranteed warm for at least 3 months of the year!

The snow will come sooner or later and when it does you best believe the country will come to a standstill so we'll all be off work and able to play in it!

Stay positive and hopeful..

Pressure down to 983mb over Ireland, is it meant to be that deep now?

I don't think so, guess it will go north if stronger.

There's a possibility that the Thames Barrier could be closed due to storm surge

Was expecting that, it's also spring tide I think. The two do not mix.

I can see why they removed the warning but kept it for my area being north of London as East Anglia will bear the brunt

A few gusts starting here now, nothing to write home about yet though.

Storm should peak between 50 - 70 mph in the SE approx 06:00 - 07:00 hrs
