Temp 3.6c

Dew point -5.6c

Surprisingly warm considering the wind direction. I was always told "when the east wind blows there'll be snow.

Couldn't even manage a frost this morning and looks unlikely tonight!

I can't believe the chance of a frost gets some of us excited these days!

Think I’ll give it another 24 hours before writing of this Easterly for good.

Cold zonalty never delivers anything down here.Only good further North and on higher ground.

Hope this winter isn’t going to be one that promised much but actually delivered sweet FA .We nearly half way through it now,and soon be nearly 5 years since we have had lying snow here.

Well, I suppose I should be grateful I got 1 day of sunny & cold! - back to grey again today :( No sun, no wind, no rain, 4C - does that count as no weather?

A cold high is second most favourite on my winter weather list. Crisp frosty mornings where the frost stays in the shade all day and frozen lakes. Lovely jubbly, through in a hoar frost and its on par with snow

yep one of my favourites too. Not a fan of this grey murky dampness we seem to be getting a lot of at the moment

Tongue in cheek...

But I’ve found it a bizarrely good barometer this winter. As a trend indicator. Until it shows something interesting, I don’t care what the actual models say.

Just thought I’d re-flag. This was Saturday. Irritating I know, and unscientific. But great as a trend-watch. Whod’ve Thought? And today? Still nothing interesting...

What a disappointment. The models can't even deliver us the crisp sunny weather we were 'promised' two days ago for today! That's now been scuppered by a layer of low cloud trapped under the High pressure. :nonono:

A bit damp here now. Lovely light muck.

If it was light snow i'd let it off but c'mon.

Sure it gloomy today!  left for work at 8.30 this morning, all street lights were on as were my headlights.  Only marginally brighter now ...
