Mad thread = couldn’t make it up.

Euphoria over a chart 10 days away ... better than a soap opera for sure.

I can predict the ending.. lots of whining and crying.

Full circle, so predictable!

This time , could be different.

Backed up by its ensemble mean out to 240, up to 360 not too shabby. ?

Clear, dry and cold here on the east coast with a brisk chilly wind.

Nice to have some dry days to let the river levels drop.

Tongue in cheek...

But I’ve found it a bizarrely good barometer this winter. As a trend indicator. Until it shows something interesting, I don’t care what the actual models say.

Careful, you’ll get the “rainers” calling for more rain “we are in a drought” as soon as the rivers back to normal and they can’t see a puddle in sight.

Ben, just wondering if you prefer dry or wet weather?  From your posts it's quite hard to be sure.

Unfortunately the river here is still very low, it is slowly recovering now, so may be back to normal in a week or two, unless its dry. However i don't think it will be.

Everything shifting west with every output. We could well be seeing a proper easterly down the line. Definitely one to watch for cold in our patch!

3 degrees Celsius here with a moderate north easterly. I doubt it will drop much lower as we’re in the stronger north easterly flow.

Still 5 degrees here, more importantly the dp is 3.

DP is -1 here. I guess you’re getting some moderation from the North Sea?

Probably. Your further north, not sure the colder dp will get down here.

It’s still very damp out, so you’re not missing much. I doubt we’ll even get a frost to be honest. There’s just too much flow from the NE

Since late afternoon there has been a fairly regular flow of showers streaming across Kent and here in East Sussex from a north easterly direction.

It's been a complete reversal from 24 hours ago where the sometimes quite persistant showers were heading in the opposite direction.

If only it were a few degrees colder it might have pleased the snow lovers.

Surface temperatures will be lower, but it’ll be cloudy and dull. I feel the pain though, on the rare occasion we get an easterly, the continent is basking in high uppers. You couldn’t make it up :(

The temperatures over there will slowly decrease, and I don't expect the high to be pushed aside. The cold is coming, I just hope people are ready for it.
