Londoners reporting any rumbles of thunder?

Radar would suggest so are the moment.

Torrential rain as the front passed through 30 minutes ago, but nothing special in terms of wind. In fact, it’s almost calm now!

Sustained wind speeds far higher than I was expecting from the forecast.

No thunder.

Interesting as I thought we had some distant flashes earlier. The wknd is continuous at the moment, sounds like a jet aircraft:

I'm visiting the thread as I'm in S. London atm. Just had a few minutes of garden carnage as the squall line passed through. Several plant pots are casualties and the rain was intense for a short period

Only had two gusts of wind but nothing special here and it’s been reasonably calm all evening but with some rain/drizzle. All died down now and very calm. How weird!

I had my window open slightly on that half latch setting (I'm not sure what it's called) and the wind has blown it open!

Doesn't look like I'll be getting much sleep, noise if the wind, rain and sounds like someone's recycle bin/boxes are blowing about.

Would imagine travel disruption in the morning, perfect timing for my first day back!

It's fine, I just had to close it and now I can't hear the wind as well. The house can feel it though.
