Happy New year to everyone, hopefully the remaining two thirds of this winter will deliver for all of us.

As usualplease try to keep things on topic, well a little bit of weather chat at least.

Thankyou :)

It's raining again outside, the Xmas and New Year weather (including the next few days) continues to be woeful. Endless cloud, rainy days some wind and generally milder than average temperatures but nothing compared to recent winters.

Just hoping January and this Scandinavian high pressure will finally deliver some beautiful convective snowfall but this is me being a bit wishful thinking.

Wouldn't at all be surprised if we get more of the same.

Happy New Year to all Netweatherers :)

Slightly convective rainfall here, huge drops, just north of the Thames.

All of the Christmas period has been vile here, no snow just frost on 27th but very mild apart from that and lots of rain and wind. Cant even get to sleep some nights cos its so warm and muggy, Horrendous. :(

Confused wheres the wind gone, even rigjt hete on the coast, totally still out. It's also raining. I'm guessing we are in a wave. Normally means lots of heavy rain though.

After a gloomy morning, the skies brightened here and we’ve had a couple of hours of sunshine this afternoon. How nice.

I’ve decided I’m not telling anyone about the potential for us next weekend. I swear that it always jinxes it :)

Another very wet, but not so windy day here. Cooler than the last couple of days at least, currently 5c.

Busy few days, no chance to look at forecasts much - then out of the blue yesterday afternoon I had the opportunity for a seaside walk. Packed a packet of crisps and my phone and off I went.

Did not realise heavy rain was due. After half an hour of dry conditions, we watched as the weather came in, drained the colour from everything (this photo is not a black and white photo!), driving wind and hail so fierce that it physically pushed us off the beach! Amazing! Sun came out and then went down - a stunning day weatherwise.

well basically it seems that on certain models from 7/1/18 we are getting some sort of easterly which "should" bring snow with it, but it is a long way off yet:cold: also how can your presence upset anyone:hi:

I exist I guess. Snow?  I hope it's not on Friday, we got a swim meet for bubs as she has moved up a class, and it will be a nightmare to get to the other side of beddy.

Long time in weather terms so i'll hold off the celebrations for now.

the people on the dark side (the mad thread) are saying it starts on sat/sun so you should be okay for bubs swimming.

I shouldn't worry, some don't seem to like my company too much either.

Anyway, I misread what you wrote, I was trying to work out for about ten minutes why you would try to swim to the other side of Beddy, and that you knew it would be a nightmare to do that. :D

Looking good now from some of the models that an easterly could be around the corner! If only Essex Easterly was still here :clapping:
