I think something is going to give at 192.

Hmm... frontal boundary just reaching western parts, cold enough in east that if the flow stays sufficiently east of south... dare I say it  :D.

Just potential, we must keep in mind.

yes, i was commenting on the EC det- i feel the block needs to be further west-

NWS mate I think that ship has sailed, we're going to have to work with what we have which is potential for trough disruption and sliders.

Funny thing is, the air in the west looks colder than the air from the east!!

Pressure falling over Southern France. Is that a low forming over Northern Italy?

Indeed - if only we could dump millions of tonnes of ice into the N. Atlantic to reduce the modification of that airmass - or better yet, build an extra continent to our west .

Sometimes I have a bit of fun imagining our climate if the weather systems spun the opposite way around.

Interesting to see PM air visiting the SW while PC air visits the NE. Wrap the PC into the PM, please...

Rain to snow event for west areas on that. We know what comes next with that ridge.

Nice ECM run so far, just a bit more trough disruption and it would be great.

Building pressure towards eastern Greenland at T192 hrs always nice to see.

V good a few shifts SW and given the time frame and how sliders behave it is entirely possible. Very happy from the ECM so far.

The netweather winter forecast of a ‘knife edge’ winter, this is as knife edge as it could get. The results could be spectacular but then on other side of the coin a real kick in the stomach.

If people want some proper cold then this type of evolution has by far the best chance of delivering something more sustained .

We need to get high pressure into Greenland and force low heights to develop over Northern Italy .
