Overnight rain turned to Snow giving a brief covering until a rapid rise in temperatures and light showers from six resulted in a rapid thaw

Dry with variable cloud after being rainy in the early hours, 0100-0500 according to Davis, 8.8 mm and the current low of 1.1 C, patchy ground frost in the last hour or so

Clear spells till around midnight with a widespread moderate frost. Cloud increasing after midnight and the frost slowly lifting, some light rain through the early hours. This morning so far, overcast, light rain and drizzle. Feeling cold and raw. Further drizzle for a time through the morning. The afternoon saw a few bright and sunny spells, feeling cold in the wind.

A dry and clear start to last night but it quickly became cloudy from late evening with a spell of heavy sleet, then wet snow, during the early hours. It was dry before dawn with the temperature rising steadily to give a steady thaw of lying snow.
