A few light spots of drizzle in the wind as Snow showers skirt to the south west of us. On top dry cold start roads untreated by both Derbyshire council and Sheffield Council and judging by the tyre marks on the melting frost this has caught a few drivers out. Left as ice underfoot made it tricky walking and the unexpected arrival of Snow showers made it good choice considering the lack of gritting. At the moment I cannot see the moors due to the showers so possibly fairly heavy up their now.

High temp so far 2.8C now 2.6C, Low 0.1c. Barometer 1003mb rising slowly, Wind F4 WNW, Rainfall 0.5mm and trace for today.
