Overcast, dry after overnight rain, not sure if it gave any sleet, rain=5.6 mm, a low of 1.6 C now on 2.2. C; feels really raw out.

Light-moderate sleet yesterday evening eventually turned to snow after midnight giving a covering of 5cm but followed by a slow thaw. Cloudy and raw this morning with light snow showers.

Grass min; 0.1c ( thermometer covered by snow )

Rainfall in 24 hrs ending 0900; 8.4 mm

Mean depth of lying snow; 4.1cm; 100% cover. The lying snow line is around 230m.

Moderate rain last evening continued until after midnight, turning to sleet through the early hours. The sleet stopped around 06:00 GMT. This morning so far, cloudy, odd blob of sleet. Feeling cold.

Clear spells developing, just missing a ground frost here this morning, though locally some patchy frost and ice while out on my run. Sunny spells. Further sunny spells, turning cloudy towards evening. Moderate rain by mid evening.

Breezy and feeling bitterly cold in the wind. Early morning snow/sleet mix turned to rain which lasted until early afternoon, then dry with sunny intervals. Maximum 3.6, minimum 0.9. Wind moderate N.
