Euro 4 hammers the final nail in the coffin for the north west-

I know its only the weather and all that but fgs we really are hated by  the weather gods.

dry as a bone until its warm enough for rain.

Pathetic place to live for snow this.

Merry christmas everyone!

Said before the first slider this year that the midlands are a slider magnet, rarely get this far north for whatever reason.

Things could get interesting for the NW later-on as a line segment is beginning to get it's act together in the Irish Sea, behind that lies more colder air with the slight possibility of some wintryness across the Pennines for early tomorrow morning.

Oldham does quite well for snow generally, I know it’s a much more reliable location than further S a snowless winter must be very rare not so for London not that uncommon. It’s not as if you haven’t seen any snow I’m thinking of those in SW who have not seen a flake, you’ll see some snow before this cold snap/spell comes to a close hopefully.

NWRadar showing snowfall directly over the western Peak District but there's only been rain here and in Buxton so-far this evening.

GFS  has been consistent on tomorrow nights LP system for days now,and tonight

18z is no different keeps the Northern extent in line roughly from Liverpool to Sheffield

Will be a case of rader watching because IMO the models still have not got this nailed

On as yet.

Another window of opportunity is on Thursday for the region.Firstly during the day

A Cheshire Gap streamer is showing on the GFS before the next system comes in

Thursday night giving snow to more northern parts of the region.
