Modele UKMO - Carte prévisions

850s on ukmo as the low zips thru..

it has to be on a more southerly track than previously as the -4 line was up towards scotland on earlier runs..

Certainly starting to feel colder out. When are we expecting the dew points to drop below zero?

I don't think UKMO 12z is further south, hard to tell. better off looking at the FAX charts for UKMO

Tthe 850s showed the milder uppers sweeping into southern scotland earlier so i can only assume it is further south on ukmo too kevin..

ive posted them above.

I know everybody wants to cream their pants over that low southerly tracking, but we should really wait for consistency in the next run before doing so guys, last thing we need is another disappointment.

That said we could be looking at anything from a 6 hour snow event tomorrow night to a 5 day snow event starting today and ending Saturday at this point.

TBF the BBC said stay tuned as it could shift in the run up to wed night.. :)

But yes since yesterday there does seem to be a momentum to shift it further south, of course it could shift further north again.

This week is shaping up to be excellent. Chance of significant snow showers throughout and if that low keeps shifting South, potential for a significant spell of snow midweek or is that getting a bit carried away?

I smell snow in the air, someone give me a quick update please?

:D

Did you know that water goes cloudy before it snows? So if you have a bucket of water in tour garden and notice its gone cloudy, then it will snow soon.

I know, I know don't trust the apps (but it does look good)... shouldn't be anything marginal if we get the beefy showers overnight Tuesday.

The MetO app for South Manchester has upgraded (40m ASL) .

Just showing snow now from 4pm tomorrow. No sleet. Good news.
