Heswall is 90-111m above sea level but even 111m can be iffy here because the dewpoints tend to be higher here at relative elevation on the coast than at sea level. It sounds impossible but I've seen snow on lower ground whilst standing on the top of Poll Hill in Heswall..

Tomorrow night but is subject to change

Appreciate that this is subject to change of course, but presumably this indicates a prolonged period of snow, assuming the conditions are favourable for snow?

The potential storm, similar track to the Burns' Day storm but not quite as deep. The concern to me looks likes that SW quadrant where the winds swing to the NW that looks really nasty, it could be a sleepless night but it doesn't half zip through though

Manchester piccadilly is 42m

Thanks, that's really poor and if you add Manchester's horrendous heat island effect you get the picture.

Still I wouldn't live anywhere else in the region. I love the city life. :D

Swing hammock has just flipped over in a big gust and will have to stay there until tomorrow

Just thought I'd throw my two penneth in and say I am not expecting any snow in my location south lakes. Expecting a lot of wind and rain though!! Maturity and experience has tought me that 99% of any potential snow forecast results in a major let down.

TAF update.

Liverpool just rain showers and heavy rain showers.

Manchester  heavy rain showers until midnight; rain/snow showers until 06:00; snow showers after 06:00.

Cumulonimbus only for Manchester which surprises me a bit.

Snowfall for areas over 100M from tommorow according to itv regional weather just then.

Starting to feel a bit more hopeful, now if that low can just keep sliding south.

While tomorrow holds most interest im still clinging to the hope this low can shift 100miles south come wed night...

Sounds a lot but its still forming and 100miles isnt a lot in the grand scheme of things..

The trend is on our side (shifting southwards), I am with you and hope it does. The 12z's will be interesting for sure.

I know mate :-)

Just not sure how much faith you should have in Granada weather.

There’s way too much conflicting info at present. I’ve seen enough now to suggest that most inland areas will get snow, but any serious accumulation will probably be reserved for 150m plus..

Now is the time to just sit back and wait and see I reckon.

The definitive TAFs will be the ones issued at 6 AM tomorrow covering the period until Wednesday morning.
