Pretty foggy here now also with about 1/4 mile visibility looking sideways but up above there's broken skies, the frost and settled snow from earlier is slightly thawing as the milder air is approaching.

Above 5°C now here, probably won’t go below that again for a week or two. Oh well.

Well that prediction didn’t last long! Down to 2.9°C now here. Will probably be quite a cold evening as the wind goes off-shore for a bit.

Foggy in parts hereabouts, just driven back through Grizedale Forest as that was better gritted than the (even more) minor roads. Temps varying between -1 to -4C and all cars well frosted. Roads quite slippery in places even with winter tyres.

Hoping that tomorrow's deluge might at least start with snow as we often get that due to proximity of the higher cells. Fingers crossed although it's inevitable that it won't last too long!

Fog was thick enough to produce light snow earlier. Crazy

Walking home from watching a live band at the local it was noticeably foggy, not enough to produce any 'snizzle' or precip, but enough to keep surfaces well below freezing temperature. Good job I was walking uphill in converse shoes rather than downhill. I'd say it's dropped from being 1/4 mile vis as it was in the afternoon to now down to just a few tens of meters.

Doesn't look close to me. check the track of the Boxing day storm of 1998. Looks windy but not devastating.

There you go
