Manchester can have some very odd local variations!

It has stopped now - left a slight dusting here.

Same as everyone really- very light snow left a dusting - not been a bad little spell really- had a few days of lying snow and some frosts over the last 10 days-

much better than last december

Shower track was traced to the North Fylde coast (Fleetwood), looks to be a good direction for me and areas of Oldham to benifit later as the next clumps of showers are already on the way.

might be rain by dinner time tho- that shower was very marginal- higher parts might keep their cover until later tonight :)

Photo does it no justice. Large flakes sticking with ease. Pleasant surprise.

Freezing cold last night out at the local, wasn't sure if it was just the temperature or the dew-point but there was frost covering most surfaces from 8pm. I wasn't too surprised to see snow this morning given the beeb had a area of rain passing over the NW on the 1am forecast. A nice surprise overall but nothing that will last given the temps are around 6'c tomorrow morning.

Above 5°C now here, probably won’t go below that again for a week or two. Oh well.

A week or two? Bit optimistic no? No guarantee of course but mild muck does have a nasty habit of locking in for weeks on end, then before you know it, March is fast approaching - the days are noticeably longer and another winter has been tossed into the bin marked "fail"
