Just had a snowball fight between me and the car. Not been able to do  that for years. Not melting on most surfaces. Have to make the most of it  while it’s here.

Not more snow overnight but looks icy outside and my couple of cm are still laid on the ground.

off to work shortly for the last time this year then an evening of wrapping presents and packing before a sneaky pre Christmas week in the sun.

i can well imagine- think an easterly would be your best bet marra- TBH an easterly is best bet for my location too.

Its just they come about literally once every blue moon.

Honestly, it’s just a case that evaporative cooling was very effective. I can’t believe nobody else saw it. Crosby does have a microclimate.

It’s the absolute gods honest trueth. There was heavy snow for around 15 minutes with huge flakes after 1 am which left a dusting. Temp fell to 1.0°C from 4.5°C at midnight. Only snow in the heaviest part of the precipitation and turn back to sleet when it got lighter.

Whilst it hasn't been the blizzard and storm week we were being told it would, it's been a pretty damn good start to the winter, Over a week of days with lying snow.

First batch last week brought around 1-2cm until it was rained away the last few days, with the second batch last night giving a light covering on all surfaces (which was nice as I was expecting rain). Most infuriating thing was watching that slider sink further and further south.

Looks to be mild incoming for the next few weeks with a bit of potential around new year, we can only hope.

Yes there was heavy snow here too, confirmed by Cheshire Snow aswell. No reason to lie about it.
