If we see any heavy precipitation we may see some wet snow overnight, whether it sticks will depend on duration, but temps are dropping now, and with the effect of evaporative cooling there may be an early snow cover. The fells will see quite a bit tonight and tomorrow

We've been very unlucky so far in terms of snowfall, we've had the right conditions, just not in the right place..

The wind is picking up a bit so its looking a little blizzardy out there now. About an inch down so far. Gonna be a fun moped ride to work in couple of hours :)

Anyone in Buxton know what the roads are like? i'm supposed to be going to the midnight showing of StarWars today and just debating whether it might be worth taking some extra cash for a hotel incase taxi's cant get down the A6.

2-3cm here, a pleasant surprise.  Thought with the slow melt today and rain, it wouldn't stick, but it has done quite easily.

Not sure if buses are running from Ashton. My lad works at Park Cakes and could be stuck at Hathershaw.

I'm utterly speechless. Nothing whatsoever here in Horwich.

Apparently there is falling snow, North, South & East of me.

Yikes, it looks like cars are still moving and there's no traffic incidents/road closures being reported yet by the AA. Not too bad having to spend a half-hour in the snow before the film starts.
