Only rain on Liverpool‘s as I expected, but then it only goes up to 1800.

Regional Forecast for North West England

Headline:

Rain and hill snow moving east overnight. Blustery showers tomorrow.

This Evening and Tonight:

Rain and hill snow will spread eastwards through the first half of the night, bringing very icy conditions in places. Clearer skies will follow, with scattered showers becoming more frequent towards dawn. Cold and windy. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Wednesday:

Windy with frequent spells of heavy and showery rain, turning wintry over hills. Drier and brighter through the afternoon, but with sleet and snow spreading eastwards in the evening. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Breezy on Thursday, with sunny spells and showers perhaps wintry in places. Colder on Friday and Saturday, but largely dry and sunny with frost and ice overnight. Windy on Friday.

Yeah you never know, I still hold out slight hope. Some thunder would do me though for now.

It's just the fact that they say sleet & snow moving east would indicate it isn't just the hills otherwise they would state that. Plus the bbc 6.30 weather did have an area of snow moving east tomorrow night including us. So yeah may aswell have a slight hope (AGAIN)

EC is horrible for tomorrow night- surely that wont be wrong?

Think we will see a late backtrack now from the beeb etc-

another 11th hour letdown.

we really are cursed in our little region..

im shocked by that image as EC  has upprs of -4 throughout wed, surely thats not enough for less than 350m altitude?

Last winter, we had snow falling from some some pretty unremarkable uppers.

Well i guess we will see tomorrow Kevin, think its best to have low expectations and then anything wintry will be a bonus :)

One thing that does suprise me is the low dew points- if there was a SE draft ahead of the flow fair enough but i dont see one..
