Looks like it may be a tad milder for the Christmas period, I think the term "mild" is springing up to much at the moment though. It'll be around 4-5 degrees daytime here for the most part so not exactly mild. mild is what we had last year in the double digits.

Currently it looks like we might have a colder new years period, so hopefully new year, new snow instead of new me. I've failed that resolution every time so fingers crossed the weather delivers.

Anything can and will happen though so may the farce be with you.

Yes i'm not expecting anything at my meagre altitude -

must admit  its getting a 6 out of 10 this cold snap- had laying snow since friday at my location yet a trip down to middleton earlier today and there is little if any snow there, another example of the power of altitude-

Me and the missus are planning on moving next year, or the year after- we chatted about things we can compromise on, she said not the kitchen or garden, i said im not compromising on ALTITUDE !!

Luckily for me there is plenty of properties at 300m plus in Oldham-  my 200m is not sufficient for marginal events (which the vast majority seem to be~).

just to compare manchester and moorside oldhams forecast for wed night you can see where im coming from!

I think Thursday is looking promising for high ground. Proper westerly wind!
