Anyone know what’s its like around Frodsham? I’m working there tomorrow and although roads are fine here, not sure if it’s worse there?

temp now 0.6c so the 1cm we have on the grass and cars is freezing quickly. Already been out to scrape the car so it doesn’t freeze solid.

Omg, I left Crewe at 4pm (popped in to see parents on my way home) and it had just hit 0 Degrees and the snow has started... Any more pics?

What a bonkers day of weather emotions...

Anyways, ended with a massive high as get back to Crewe to see my folks and the temp had dropped to freezing and it had started to snow, was lovely to see. Then driving home to Halmer End was just stunning, as I got higher up the snow changed to powder snow as the temps dropped to -1, it just has a different feel to it, there is a kinda mist in the air with it.

Anyways, get home expecting whatever it was that caused the random fall of snow to stop and instead found that it was going to stop a while. So wrapped up and went for a walk...absolutely stunning. Temps below freezing, the snow twinkling like diamonds (for me, a sign of minus temperatures). Snowed for another 3 hours... Some of the snow was already there but the top up was a lot. The pics wouldn't upload direct to here so here is a link to them.  It was amazing to see outside decorations with actual snow on them.

Congrats to everyone who got snow..as for me a little bit of sizzle earlier....the chase for the next let down has begun, and it could be on Thursday.

Well got up to 5.5 inches here and just to demonstrate how close a call for us here it was looking at the photos some of you maybe had up to 2 inches on the Wirral? just over 30 miles away and we had maybe more than double the amount some of you guys here. I will freely admit i got lucky today though.

Absolutely NOT worth getting excited about, but I’d be raising an eyebrow if I lived to the east of the region with a bit of elevation.

Some decent frosts coming up whatever happens later in the week. Proper winter.

I tell you what, I will never get my hopes up over a snow event ever again, 2013 I was let down and again with this one, NEVER AGAIN.

Not very often here has more snow than Stockport.

Will never forget those haunting images of Stockport centre under 1ft of snow 09/10 ish whilst we got maximum 5cm

Genuinely can't understand why there is some melt going on here when both temp and DP are below freezing. It defies physics. Not the first time I've noticed this happen.
