The models did not call the mechanics of this at all... It seems we have a type of lake effect snow in some parts

Snow getting heavier here now and starting to add to the couple of cm already on the ground.

as others have said, a bit of a surprise this one and possibly justifies the willow warning, assuming it hasn't already been removed.

Come on - reach the Fylde Coast. Seems very slow moving whatever 'it' is  - I've been looking at the same clouds/sky for about 30 mins now.

Precipitation on the radar seems to be filling in and expanding a bit, this was not predicted? interesting non the less.

It aint expanding anywhere near this hell hole thats for sure.

Mate - its been snowing since 0700hrs and I may have 1.5 to 2 inches. Its been too wet beforehand and dew points too high this morning. Its a case of what could have been here even though its fallen.

No consolation I know, in the Forest if Dean about 15 miles from here, they have 12 inches plus!!!! All if and buts I guess.

It’s coming down decently now. Not settling too well as it’s the middle of the day.
