So a rain/sleet-SNOW-SNOW event as the wraparound pummels the southwest. We live in hope.

The Arome does show some wintriness for the region tomorrow, it also shows some marginal CAPE as well. It's quite possible to have some sleet/hail showers along the coast, with a rumble of thunder mixed in.

ARPEGE and AROME both suggesting significant snow to have settled in CS England by early Monday morning but little south of the M4 until Sunday afternoon onwards. ICON suggesting slightly less for CS England but in the same timescale

I’m thinking a very slim chance, I think it will be a case of looking out of the window in the morning and hoping for the best

I was hoping I'd finally get a day where the high is lower than 5°C but at the rate it's currently rising it'll reach that before midnight.

Yes, I'm sure it is. I was quoting what I saw on the charts but I note that the Net Weather station reports are often way out. 0 C would make it colder than it is where I am in the Cotswolds!

Monday likely to be our coldest day so far of the winter. Temps will struggle to get above 3c.

Stronger height rise in Scandi on 18z. PV to the NW looks bullish as ever, though.

Not sure if this is the right region? but in East Beds / St Neots (house in Northants) tonight and its -3c currently, so cold, thinking I'd be better off in Northants though for this "snow event"?
