Well done folks who are in the sweet spot. Amazing that Cheltenham gets two falls in two weeks couldn't get a slush layering when I lived there for 8 years! Ha! Nothing here in this part of Devon yet.

Its actually quite thrilling. I'm usually stuck to radar during IMBY snow events, waiting for a morsel, a weeny shower - anything. And we get two dollops from two events.

Why have you guys lost street lighting? Weight of snow on power lines?

Street lighting goes off at midnight for the majority.

Street lights stay on all night here. :yahoo:

Not sure I’ll need them though. Still 6.7°C.

More marginal bit wetter than white but for 5 minutes some huge flakes. Could be a fun trip to the midwife tomorrow or all gone by the morning. Whatever I can't sleep now!!

This is bonkers....it's still chucking it down. MetO Filton forecast says sleet between 2am and 5am, then just cloudy. Am dreading the drive in the morning.??

Settling so much better than the event earlier in the month. Winter wonderland out there, looks quite dry and powdery. Looking forward to a walk and snowman build with the niece in the morning.

We're under the precip. for a good few hours yet. Roads should be fine if the snow has stopped. The freeze comes during Weds afternoon/evening I think.

Quite epic snowfall just to north of Gloucester. Not far off getting to curb level deepness.

Easily the heaviest snowfall I have seen in years. It looks like it could go for a fair while though if the intensity drops it could turn sleetier.

Looks like the ppn is pivoting can only mean more snow where it' already falling. Radar says rain here weather says snow. On the higher moor it must be whiteout. Blowing a near gale too.

Been sleety here for a while now but was nice to see the heavy snow earlier, easily the heaviest snowfall I'd seen since 2010.

More of the sleet is forecast to turn to snow. The circulation centre gradually moves Eastward.

Not sure if I'm allowed to post this (mods, delete if necessary). Current forecast snow (in red) for 4.50am. Sleet is gray. Courtesy Meteogroup Raintoday Premium.

Radar changing all the time. Looks like the ppn is starting to wind down in the south west. Not a lot more to come. Typical get the right conditions and then it stops. Hoping a Pembroke dangler might angle in this way though. Right then time to creep out the room and not wake the wife to stare at the snow...she thinks I'm a loop case by the way which I am!
