Quite a difference between areas behind and ahead of the front.

Well those Belgian fart grenades have certainly worked outside! Howling wind as the squall moved through and now the temperature is on the slide...

Happy Christmas everyone! Today has been manic fun with our 17 month old boy!

Admittedly I have taken my eye off the ball over the weekend, however I didn't anticipate such a deluge this evening or a max of 14.5c!!

Yep, it was a wild leading edge shown really well on radar. Stood outside waiting for the downpour and it didn’t disappoint, with 2.44mm/ per minute or 144mm/hr rate, staring with hail. Not seen those figures for a while, and of course the temperature dropped quickly too, 6.0°C drop, first time in days. Certainly no surprises, it packed a punch..

Got a bit wild earlier here, merry Xmas everyone, I’m sufficiently lubricated now, looking forward to round 2 tomorrow. Who knows, maybe a bit of snow on Wednesday morning.

Very impressive temp drop around 8pm

Hope everyone had a good day yesterday.

We had some weather yesterday evening around 18:30. One torrential shower before that with 73.0mm/hr rain rate then the main line with heavy/torrential rain. Some even more intense echos were nearby on radar though. 19.0mm of rain yesterday on the Davis and 19.8mm in the manual gauge.

Temp dropped from 10.9C to 6.8C in 10 minutes,  and it had fallen to 4.8C an hour later, so 6.1C within an hour.
