Gritter has just gone past my window. Good, because I am quite anxious about having to drive later on, after seeing the blizzard forecast for 5o'clock. ??

Looks like this is why, not sure which way it’s going to travel though.. it’s an occluded front isn’t it? Or is it a developing low?

Quite a large area, with Bristol right in the middle. Certainly South Glos was buried under it......so a radius of that size around Bristol. The words Bristol Channel streamer have been mentioned in some quarters! ??

I don't know I'm confused lol. On the radar it looks like it's tracking SE but apparently Bristol / Glos at risk later.

Anybody able to clear up where that PPN is heading?

Ooohhh who was saying this. I can see the heavier stuff in the channel but it looks like it's ever so slightly slipping South wards.

Popped up Bleadon hill in Weston, nice winter scene up there with snow on the ground, first time in 4 years I could hear that sound of snow under foot, sounded awesome. 20171210_152315.thumb.jpg.37a58c616591b60dc9ed0e523bbc2c59.jpg

Im not sure either with regard to the blizzard mmentioned lol' and have not seen the forecast, but i remember Ian Ferguson mentioning something on twitter yesterday about a small system 'within' the low potentially causing snow risk.this afternoon.

IF that line of heavy ppn does decide to begin rotating within the wider flow then i can see why Bris/Glos may be in the firing line?

a few pics from this afternoon.....me and the kids built 'Saucy Sid II" ...however he ended up a snowman/old english sheepdog hybrid....lol

A nice wave along the occluded front has developed (well modelled by the NMM)....This could give BANES, wilts, and especially Somerset and Dorset a spell of heavy snow....it will probably slide to my south but still plenty of light snow to come for northern Wilts and Glous/Oxon...dewpoints are on the right side of marginal now here so no more thaw and the light snow/snizzle is starting to accumulate on the existing snow

Typical as I'm not there for a week! Been snowing here in Clevedon since this morning, the surrounding hills look quite nice with a light dusting. Is it suppose to freeze tonight? Could be lethal around here.
