Just back from work and it's snowing :yahoo:

Evening Bellanite :)

yep, quite an impressive little shower there, all snow as well. Nice little dusting to all surfaces.

Wasn't sure if any of the showers would make it to our neck of the woods so chuffed lol. Should make for a pretty dawn.

Yeah was coming down pretty well for a bit, huge flakes! Nice little dusting. Showers seem to have intensified over Wales which is quite rare!

Hopefully it will still be there in the morning and for others too. Nice little surprise.

Trying to decide if i stay up for a while to see if we get more. Been a long day!

Yep think we got the edge of that .. so a sprinkle on one of the cars outside. Yes I repeat ONE of the cars outside. A snowt amount of wintry ppn. That’ll be it then for today and Winter 2018. I best get to work.

No accumulation here - microclimate. If it snowed, I missed it.

So glad when we start to get some lighter mornings and evenings & the weather warms up. No point bothering to chase anymore cold spells, I'm just not going to get anything decent snow wise for my part of the world.

Morning all, as expected I've woken to a big fat zero in the snow department. Dry, cold and not a bad morning if you forget about the wind. Pleased some of you saw some snow, however brief it may have been.

A small part of my fortnightly work area in Westbury has a little graupel/small hail laying in grass and on car roofs! Whooppee!!

Driving into work they kept saying on the radio that somewhere in Dumfries and Galloway got 39cm of snow........39cm!!!  I just can't compute 39cm and what absolute carnage (and joy) that would bring to our region!

Needless to say, no snow here.  I was also surprised that there was only 5mm in the gauge this morning given the intensity of some of yesterday's showers.

I have a friend who lives not far off the M74 near Dumfries, I'm about to email her to see what's what!

We can but dream.

When looking at the radar last night I briefly tormented myself by checking out all the other places I've lived, quite a few would have been having snow last night. Despite living in North Yorkshire for 10 years, the best places for snow were definitely the North Cotswolds (where I grew up) and Northants. Dreaming of 1981.....Cotswolds had way more than 39cm, it lasted for weeks and was heavenly. Oh for a time machine.

The snow that fell last night for me was just a pain this morning at 5:55am, I’m my shorts trying to scrape it before boot camp, ultimate let down. Now Friday looks crape as well

Woke to a very light dusting this morning on untreated roads and grass verges. It had partly melted and then refroze  so was quite sketchy getting out of our road. All gone now though

So the met off app says 18mph Westerly winds with 35mph gust for me right now!! Barely got a breeze and the sun is really warm. What's going on with that low pressure? Has it been downgraded to nothing now?

Mornin' All, currently wet from last nights rainfall, and temperature of 6.2C with the wind beginning to back SW. A sunny start to the day...can we get on with spring now, pleeze, the garden thinks it is time to wake up.

Max and mins bang on average thus far so no cold spell here, just a cold wind. The hunt for a decent cold spell continues...
