Khodds, I've checked Wikipedia and with @Mapantz, it's called "Ground Frost"..a term difficult to remember through it's lack of use in the SW region, so write down for next time..

I did wonder why the grass was a strange white colour earlier. Thanks for the heads up. :good:

Wouldn’t it be nice if just for once they’ve got it wrong and it’s a south of the M4 snow for tomorrow morning....

They only get it wrong when it does show snow south of the M4. :nonono:

Hail shower just gone through and back to sunshine.

Judging by what weather we're due over the next week, I think I preferred last January! At least it was dry and things could be easily done outside.

Just seen a brief snow flurry so I can call it a white birthday!

Happy birthday!

Really interesting day with frost/ice then sunshine and 4 hail/sleet showers so far, lovely CBs around from time to time.

Ice on the cars this morning, but no visible ground frost. A low of 1.5°C.
I've still not managed to get below zero yet. I was up to 8 air frosts by this time last January.

Sunny spells, but thicker cloud has now rolled in.

Temp: 8.1°C - Hum: 72% - Dew: 3.3°C - Bar: 1010.90hPa - Wind: W @ 9mph.

It has been many years since an error has worked in our favor.

Think they over state risks to cover themselves on off chance abit like the 2 - 6 cm warning other day. If it is wrong people go meh it didn't happen but if they get it other way they get full investigation and slapped wrists etc

Sat up on Portsdown hill at the moment. This is probably the shower @Dorsetbredhad over there not long ago.

Two fantastic hail showers earlier, the first turned everything white and that hung around for an hour or so until the next one turned up, that hail turned to snow for maybe a minute or two so for an hour or so I had a white garden today. Looked very pretty.

Happy Birthday NK! How old?

Just to let you know, will be locking this thread up in a bit as it’s getting quite long.

But do not despair as the annoying red line will be opening up another one in a sec ?

PS: Happy Birthday to Nights King!

Edit: New thread
