Just driven into Bristol along the A370 through a mother of all hail/sleet/slush/wet snow storms. Really heavy at times and was beginning to leave a covering in places.

My car's ice earning even felt the need to contribute haha.

South Coast will take worst of the winds if that's a true representation on the GFS12z

It looks like you weren't wrong the other day when you said it would be way further south than shown at the time. Still another day to go yet of course.

Drove home in a heavy rain shower which quickly turned to hail. Here at home on my mendip hill there's not a lot happening, the sky is very dark but nowt is falling from the sky.

Reminded today why I'm a dog person....taking pity on the stray cat, I figured if it had decided my porch was home then with the incoming weather I'd better do something to keep it warm and dry so off I trot to get a cat bed. I pick a fairly Rolls Royce version, cat igloo, fur lined, lovely soft cushion, perfect I thought, even cut off a bit of the old fleece it had been curled up on to make it smell right. Cat put its head inside, sniffed then walked away whilst throwing me a look of absolute disdain. Bloody cats!

38? Blimey, that would have me sitting in the shade or diving in the pool.

Still 5.1C, as that mod/heavy shower went through.

The radar suggests snow on the northern edge of Salisbury, which at only a few miles North; seems unlikely. Especially as xcweather shows temp 4C and DP 2C at Boscombe down.

Just driven up to Princetown no snow on the ground. Very wet under foot  typical as while up there no showers. Back at hq at 200 metres cold rain.
