The fact that it’s coming further south means it’s not as strong anyway.. think of a spinning top, the tighter it’s coiled, the further north/faster it is, the lesser coiled, the further south/slower it is (lesser wind speeds etc..) think that’s right anyway ??

Erm not an applicable analogy the GFS 06Z has it one hundred miles further S and there’s stronger winds for this region and elsewhere.

Very wet between 9 and 10am this morning. The roads were soaking between Corfe castle and Wareham. It was gusting to 41mph first thing too. It's trying to brighten up at the moment, but it's certainly an improvement compared to last week.

Temp: 11.2°C - Hum: 95% - Dew: 10.4°C - Bar: 995.90hPa - Rain: 14.4mm - Wind: WSW @ 15mph.

Interesting Tweet from Ian. Gives a few straws to clutch perhaps

RE snow Tuesday evening, GFS agrees

It has just come the other way a bit...

I'm still not convinced, however. We might see a bit of a dusting on the hill out the back, but I reckon it'll just be the usual sleety mess here in the valley.

Afternoon all, could any of you good people give a home to a stray cat? Know anyone who might?
