Just pinned it back down with bricks on outside hopefully it will hold... 

This is another reason I have no time for storms... do far more damage than some magic fairy dust on my front lawn. :sorry:

Well that was certainly wild for a while with the rain. Consoled ourselves by booking our summer holiday whilst it rattled down outside!

I just looked in mod thread to cheer myself up with winter wonderland charts come the weekend...

Looks more like a mild easterly now.. :rofl:

Uncertainties over Eastern U.S Storm is causing wobbles, especially with the GFS. I'd expect a slow change towards the Euro model, with colder conditions likely towards the Weekend!

Sub zero ice days is rapidly becoming 4c with some sleety showers....

Just looked on netweather radar and see that Barnstaple is getting a soaking and we are definitely getting a battering!

Still fairly windy here although it's eased a bit compared to not long ago.

Indeed Mapantz. 02.6C / -03.3C with 7.5 hours of sunshine here on 2nd January last year. I think I preferred that version...

Just had taster of what Barnstaple,had . 

Stood just inside the doorway to admire nature roaring away and bending over some very tall evergreen trees . 

Another  lull I believe is coming up but looking further west there's more a brewing .

According to the MetO, it should be gusting to 47mph. It's not even half of that, It's gone so quiet, really weird.

Heavy rain falling and  frequent gusty winds . More out to the West of me. Lights keep dipping sporadically. Eleanor is certainly packing a punch !

Hurn airport recorded a gust of 55mph just after midnight. I am totally confused as to why it went so quiet here. o_O
