Oh my. Day 1 of 5 days living in fog. It' just the worse weather to live in.

The only use fog has is if it freezes and you end up with thick hoare frost, doesn't happen often enough for me.

10.6°C approaching midnight says it all about the current spell of weather, probably around 10°C higher than this time last week.

It’s depressing, apparently nothing of note for the next  days 10+, the strat forecast looks dire as well!!

oh well merry Xmas everyone

Nothing interesting to report here - mild, moist and mucky.

Yawn fest here but at least the cloud is higher today lol. Very mild night with a minimum of 08.8C, mildest night of the winter so far.

Really really gloomy and dull, temp 11C, no wind. No wonder people get depressed at times, just awful weather!

I thought  was in the wrong thread for a moment when I saw this "Dull dull dulll, grey grey. Boring!!"

And when I saw this this bit "....hasn’t really moved!!" I really thought you were talking about the England Cricket team...

A flicker of interest a sliding low on boxing day according to one weather model could bring snow to the moors. Not that it will happen. Does look after this week's yawnfest of weather we could get some storms coming through next week. That will wake us up.

Today: Rinse, add a bit more fog, repeat.

At least in 8 hours time I’ll have finished work for 6 days  :yahoo:

Oh I’m not sure I can handle another 6 day period of just talk about a will it snow event in N wales, N Midlands and N West England in the Mod Thread. Completely lost the plot in there this year, I can barely be bothered to post in there anymore. :nonono:

bring on some less boring weather, I see Ian F has posted that they still prefer a blocked outcome from mid Jan... I really hope that’s in the form of height rises to the NE.

Mornin All, another flatlined night, although with rain. Oops told the missus it just looked damp so the washing is wetter this morning than last night, OOPS, there goes my being a good boy for Xmas:ball-santa-emoji:

Meanwhile 10.1C continues the flat line today. Ah I just realized it’s 9am and I’m very late for work....

No hang on im not going to work, off to the plumbing supplies a usual Christmas breakdown has happened early. Toilet cistern is constantly running and Wife broke the cable operated buttons so no flush either.

i wonder if Santa can fix it or leave me a card for a local plumber?

I don’t think I could take another slider event!!

also the blocking Ian keeps talking about just seems to keep getting pushed further and further away, beginning of December he said blocking for end of December early jan and now it’s mid jan, personally I don’t think it’s going to happen or it will happen to late and it will be a weak affair

Morning all, well it's a little less dull here today, still wall to wall cloud but the cloud base must be higher or they're thinner as it's much lighter here today. Unseasonably mild though, t-shirt weather here. A day of baking looms for me, mince pies, gingerbread houses and profiteroles; I'll be disappearing under a cloud of icing sugar.

Just for a change, it's dull, feeling quite warm, and 10C. Only difference... It rained a bit last night.

Roll on next week.
