HI, friends across the Bristol Channel.

I haven't been following the forecast track of Storm Ana; was it supposed to stall and pivot over Normandy in the way it is, and was the front associated with it supposed to spread as far north and west as it has (now approaching Bristol)? Perhaps I'm clutching at straws but it would be superb to see a second day of snow, even if it's light!

The front that’s drifting south from yesterday’s midlands snow is reinvigorating as it interacts with Ana, so it may pep up a bit more before it drifts off east in the next 2-3 hours

Looking like snow will hit here soon. What a turnaround! It' coming in from the north here so fingers crossed!

Yeah that system is way further west than the forecast I saw  last night which showed it just clipping the south east! Just checked the south east regional and some people are moaning that all they're getting is  rain and people in the west county are seeing sleet and snow lolol

Is it settling?

No, very wet snow. But hey ho all I wanted was to see snow after yesterday's rainfest.

Very first traces of sleet beginning to mix in with the rain in the IOW south-west coastal strip.

Temps dropping in Gosport according to my weather station. Looks like it was right with it's sleet forecast. The met office said rain but my forecast said sleet.

Snow in poole but rain keeps mixing out. Just slush rain. It's trying to turn to full snow as the back edge swings round. Very surprised how far west it is wasn't forecast that way at all.

Some flurries starting again up here just North of Bristol. Nothing much but black ice is the main problem this morning.

On the snowier side of sleet here but not settling. Must be close! Encouraged that the Met Office still have us under train at this point but sleet by 9am, so perhaps even more favourable conditions to come here!

Looking at the radar the band of wintery ppn is near county wide here in Devon. But looks like it will break up at anytime!

I hope so! It's snowing here and I saw a few flakes yesterday afternoon which was good. Only problem is having to go to work shortly, wish this snow was yesterday. Have a good day.

Seems more like rain here now. I think the precip isn't heavy enough now.

Definitely is just rain now. I wasn't expecting that, I thought it might get more favourable than less?
