Love this radar image from NW with what almost looks like a vortex shape over Hampshire with an eye over Swindon

You can clearly see two areas of low pressure now, second one over  Ireland.

I can't seen to add another image but over lay that first image with the weather type radar, amazing!

Temps still rising here. 6.7 degrees now, dewpoint at 7. Reports of snow further up the M5 seem a whole weatherworld away...

Netweather radar shows it as rain here but it's definitely snow, still coming down well but melting on impact, hoping the ground cools enough for it to settle.

Impressive drop of pressure on weather station since midnight 1000mb to 970.8mb! Think the 'eye' has just passed over as pressure just starting to rise.

Snow turned to rain for an hour but back to snow again, just measured depth here at 3". Best snowfall since 2010!

Moderate again here near Stroud - some of the slightly melted snow on cars is being replaced! Great for it to be this way round for a change - used to seeing it melt as it snows when daylight arrives..

Just turned to snow in Warminster - at 3 deg C! (Falling temp though)

Snow cam fall with a temp upto 4c, if other factors are conducive for snowfall, remember hearing that in a bbc weather program years ago.

Wasn't expecting this.. wind has picked up in basingstoke area from nothing half an hour ago to what I estimate to be 40-50mph gusts?  A good 25 miles or so inland too..

Off swimming with the kids for an hour or so. Everything else is wet, so I might as well be. :nonono:

Head up to Rocky Mountain nursery, went up for a late breakfast yesterday and they had snow then, bound to have more now. Can heartily recommend their full English :-)

Some lovely photos from you guys, so envious.

Temp here has now risen to 9.2c but pressure still falling, now 973.7 hPa.
Windy still here 20-25mph WSW with plenty of 30-35 mph gusts.
Highest gust was 38mph at 9.20am
