Its these situations that make it worse when its snowing only 20 miles to are north probably less and cold rain down here and even if it does turn to snow it will never settle but for those that do have the snow enjoy it as it is the first proper snow event since January 18th 2013!

Snowing just 13 miles to my north West, really annoying!

Up and down like a yoyo isn't it! I think evaporative cooling is playing a part in the heaviest rain.

24mm in my gauge, thinking if only!!!!

Jeez it is wild out in WsM this morning. Facing the sea front as I do, very strong gusts, driving the rain through the air like a sheet of water. I would pop out with my anemometer but I daren't.!

It’s a very old one from maplins ,Gadget wireless NY96 it only reports when the pc is on but stores data and uploads when the computer is on, looking for a new WiFi enabled one for Xmas

Temp and DP rising here still.  Would need a considerable drop on both counts for a chance of anything other than rain here for the time being.

Will wait until lunchtime & I might drive to a snowy nearby location if need be.

I hope this metoffice forecast is right showing snow in a hour and then snow on and off for the rest of the day but i'm not confident on that!

And look at the temperature contrast!

I’m surprised that one hasn’t gone out the window after that temp rise! You were so close to snow conducive conditions :wallbash:

Funny enough beginning to see a few big flakes appearing here.

oo what have we here? I know prob a technical glitch but in my mind I envisage a Star Trek scene.. “the M4 snow shield is about to break up, take cover, what do we forecast now for newbury”.. what do we say? “

Running the radar it looks like I’m on the south side of the low hence the strong winds, looks like it’s pivoting slowly
