Do you think we will see any snow Smartie. Chucking it down with rain at the mo, 27.3mm and counting.

Temp 4.4c and rising.

No chance if the temperature is going up, hope you have a faulty weather station there lol

Just about a full gale here, westerly 34mph gusting get 55. Not pleasant

I can imagine that it's not much fun for you@knocker . Are you in a built up area or on the edge of Camborne ?

Im in a built up area and I think fence panels will be splitting and cracking if not being blown down .

What temp do we need Fromey for snow ?

Dew point needs to drop to 0c currently 2.9c temps at 3.0 so a little way to go but it’s dropped 1.3c in the last hour if it keeps going we should see some sleet soon Plus the wind has gone round to ENE which should drag some colder air in.

dew point has just dropped dramatically to 2.2c!

Unfortunately not Smartie, this is going to be a real kick in the teeth if we don't see snow.

Heard nothing about the system coming in tonight which was supposed to produce the goods

Chucking down.. looks like rain, sounds like sleet. Football not called off yet so off to Montacute we go.

Well done all who have snow!

I do feel for you all further South as we have a winter wonderland of around 4 cm here, However, it is now turning to rain so I think the milder air must still be creeping north although I understand the cold air will push it back south later today, so good luck!

If it does move South then we would be back in the game.

Is there any chance it will?

It's a complex LP area with one center over western Ireland and another centre just south of here and the whole system is tracking ESE so I would guesstimate that we've just about reached the northern limit now of the milder air.....I'd expect the rain/sleet/snow mix in northern parts of the region and the rain only event further south to turn increasingly to snow as the LP's ttrack across the region and drag in colder air from the north east

Rain has turned back to snow now and wind has just changed from South to North-west so that gives me hope for those of you further south. The view is of Rodborough Common from our bedroom window.

Will it bring the Bristol area into play?

Big gust of wind just then as well. Temp still blummin rising, 5.0c now

Proper snow in Wantage - did I just write that?  6cm already and it's settling on everything so I doubt there was much if any rain preceding it.

And really really quiet outside.   Which is a surprise as I was expecting some wind (and, if I'm honest, no snow!) with this slider.
