The BBC graphics now have my area (just outside Frome) for light snow from 14:00 - 19:00, these have been changing so much over the last few hours.... 

Is there still time for a further southerly movement??

That’s probably because the wind is in from the cooler easterly direction.

18z Hirlam very slightly further south again, now brings areas around the M4 into play like Bristol & Bath;

Experience told me the snow line would move further south, but this seems too good t be true!

Temp on iow gone from 2.2 to 1.5 over the last hour n we forecast for rain from midnight so why won’t that fall as snow????
