Hmm wonder why it isnt' sticking for me:cc_confused:, i have decent altitude

See when those nice chaps called round and re-surfaced your driveway for such a low fee, did they happen to use Teflon and do your whole district while they were at it?

Could explain why it isn't sticking for you...

;)

Flakes are smaller now, but is that because it's drier or more frozen?

Typically that’s indicative of a more powdery type.

Shrewsbury high street turned white inside 5 minutes, it's the heaviest snow I've seen in this winter spell. It's since turned back to sleet and the lying snow has quickly all but melted from the pavements. We're heading back towards Telford now and the A5 certainly has a fair amount of slush all over it.

It's definitely lighter now. Oh well this is certainly the best start to Winter since 2010 and we've already had more snow than the last 4 Winters combined. I just hope that these snowy spells become the norm for this season generally.

Yh agree it's the best start to Winter by a mile and the Mids has been very lucky so far hope it continues into January where it will be less marginal.

It's not doing a bad job this. It's even making the road quite slushy. Just a shame we had to lose most of Sunday's snow last night and today. Oh well.

M54 in Wellington is pretty grim, snowing heavy and the fast lane isn't a place to be at the moment. Fair play to everyone though, nobody's taking any risks and are driving to the conditions. Makes a pleasant change!

Sleety rain here. It was sleety snow at its heaviest, but I'm just that bit too low/far south. Glad to hear it's been better for some! :)

Hammering down here, very fast accumulation. The irony that most of the snow melt took place today too.

In a panic people all starting moving there cars off driveways onto the road (which bugs me as they become a hazard on narrow streets).

Radar looks good for an hour anyway
