Skiing to work in the morning lol. Glad all the region did well and thank God it's snowing for Matt in Stoke. Can confirm snowing heavy again here, it's getting ridiculous now I can't remember a day like it and Met now upgraded to snow through the night. Storm Ana working magic on our slider lol. :drunk-emoji:

Nearly every school in Wolverhampton now closed tomorrow. Not surprised as I am literally on the Wolvo border and it is thick snow here and coming down heavier now. Side roads are a mess.

I read from an iPad, and just leave the page open, but if I leave and come back the forum offers me an option to go to first unread post?

maybe it’s to do with your cookie settings?

Oh hallelujah - since you have that option of "first unread post" I went and ferreted and ferreted, and I found it!

In Chrome, on MacBook, each forum group has a little speech bubble symbol to the left of the group title. If you hover the cursor over that it gives oyu the otherwise-bloody-invisible option of going to first unread post.

Hurrah!

Try this -

and this -

Don't understand why it will not copy the other chart (It is on page 75 of the Welsh thread.)

Basically the wave depression intensifies further and turns to snow whilst joining up with the snow already formed on its upper flank over Ireland. It then comes overWales and then us.

Not sure if it will  happen, but that is the theory.

Anyone for another all nighter!

I have to travel to Chester tomorrow to collect my grand daughter. Help!!!

Can’t post a photo of my snow measurement but, we’re almost up to 8 cm here (not sure how accurate it is to measure on a bin lid). That’s 3 cm more than a few hours ago. Didn’t realise that much more had fallen!

P.S. Sorry for being a miserable git :sorry:

Not far from my measurements, probably slightly more as higher up here in Norton. Not a bad effort in the end, but super jealous down south.

Are we expecting that heavier stuff a little to the north to move south later?

Met office have my area down for light snow until 8am

14 miles South here, around 10cms, still snowing too, but best places as expected were further south

No worries. I've been there myself and been frustrated with lack of snow but maybe next time wait until the event is over before writing it off :p

Yeah. It could have been epic but at least it’s pretty.

Temperatures have been at 0.5'c since 3pm, the dew point is at -1.4'c. We don't want it any lower or we're in trouble!!

Think January saw more here. Although that was mushy slop that melted quickly. At least this is proper snow.

Thanks DWW..I can see some precipitation over Ireland so maybe it will form out of that.

I have that problem copying charts twice today now(one with a photo earlier on). I do not know why I can only do one!
