How did you come to this ? Do have the precipitation charts or a link please

All Ive got is the (Icelandic MO) http://en.vedur.is/weather/forecasts/atlantic/#type=prec

The ECM 12z precipitation charts don't show itself for a hour or so yet.

yes definitely, think we are too far north, unless we can get a 18th Dec 2010 setup, and get around 6cms

I am surprised you think this looking at the amber warning area.

https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings#?date=2017-12-10

it extends right up to Merseyside well north of Staffs.Chief forecasters comments suggests 10cm possible across the area with larger totals higher up.

Virtually the whole region is covered with this along with a large part of Wales.Anyway soon be time for Radar watch.Rain band well into the west country now.

Let's relax we don't get this sort of forecast very often.:)

Yep no point stressing, what will be will be, though whether my kids will be that philosophical in the event of a non event tomorrow, is doubtful.

Yeah good luck guys. I don't mind you lot having a snowfest... it's those pesky south-easterners that annoy me :p:p

It has been snowing on and off here in Nottingham for the past couple of hours and I wasn't expecting anything until tomorrow. Nothing major, but a nice sugar dusting. I've tempered my expectations for tomorrow but hoping for something half descent, we'll see...

Keep the faith peeps as just never know what might await you in the morning :cold::D

Rushden looks pretty decent... So long as it doesn't shift another 50m south, should do quite well :)

Making the most of the dandruff flakes falling here at the moment. Might be the last snow I see in a while

Honestly, i'm not too sure why people in the North Midlands are so downbeat. It looks like PPN will make it as far North as Yorkshire and will be sticking around for a while so i'd expect a good 5-10cm for areas like Staffordshire and Stoke. There, i'm sticking my neck out with a prediction! If i'm right, thank me tomorrow :D

I personally hope the South Midlands get the most they always miss out including yesterday. We had a good few cms here yesterday so if it does go South fair play to them and expect to see some nice snow pics. But it's pretty clear all the Mids will see some snow wether it's a dusting or a bucket load. Good luck people.

Well, if it stays the way it is now and the mild sector doesn't shift North by 50 miles or so, I reckon Northants could be in a bit of a sweet spot! 10-15cm :)
