If the model trends are correct, I will have gone into the last 3 days being forecast anywhere from 15 to 30 cm of snow and actually got 2-5 cm at most. Hmm.

Been a further trend south today, unless meto know something that we don't. The higher resolution models are all pointing to this shift south, meto do have a plethora of models to base their forecasts off though so may have good reason to keep more Northern regions in the sweet spot. Regardless, i am happy with my 5cm if that is all i get, of course it would have been nice to have more, but snow is snow!

Id have to say north of brum id be concerned on the odds of seeing more than 5cms tbh.

I guess all we can do is wait for a meto update, and then eyes to the radar. It will be very painful knowing this was snatched from our hands at such short notice if it does stay further south, but i have seen some falling snow unlike most of the country during this spell and i guess i am grateful for that.

Looks like that might happen.

From being forecast heavy, disruptive snow on Friday and Sunday, to barely having enough to make a snowball. It's like being back in London again!

Personally, I'd rather expect nothing and get nothing than expected a lot and get very little. Feeling very disappointed!

Unfortunately every single output has shifted the threat south, So much so my area may well be on the northern edge of anything over 5cms. Euro4 should be out in next 5-10mins

Euro4 currently showing it further North, if the update shows it south, that should be the final nail in the coffin.

Yes, me also. I was suggesting on Friday i wasn't going to get emotionally involved until Saturday. So this morning i was very excited, now, i am feeling a bit gutted. Oh well, i am used to missing out on both summer storms and snow now.

Think I'm in an okay place for tomorrow as long as there is no more shifts south.. best thing to do is to look at the radar and out the window! ❄️❄️❄️
