A good 12hrs for the Greater Birmingham Area and I suppose to be working Monday up the Lickeys :blink2:

I live by them and I’ll be surprised if you can even get around here by Monday morning

Yeah I hope so too! I live in Rushden now so i'm in the same boat as you. I'm a bit pessimistic about tomorrow as I think Northampton/Rushden will be right on the line between rain and snow.

I'm in Kettering, and expecting only rain.

This may seem daft, but the odds on schools being closed in Coventry on Monday?

Hosting an event for over a thousand people. To lose it would be expensive but of schools shut I'll have no choice.

Is Coventry nailed on for disruptive levels?

I would think that Coventry Council website would be the place to keep an eye on. If the forecast verifies I don’t think your attendees would make it anyhow?!

What event are you hosting? (Out of curiosity)

A very knowledgeable person I know (training to be a professional meteorologist) reckons an area from Central Wales to just north and west of Birmingham could see 20-30 cm tomorrow. I think that may be too high but we will see!

Event could remind me of 19th Nov '96, or 18th Dec 2010 which our locations did well, got around 6cms, but further south, towards B'ham had around 1 foot, things just starting to shift south

Heaviest zone seems to keep shifting north and south. To be expected really. Should do pretty well in any case, and the streamer is really hammering us today.

Tbh, Kettering is about 15 miles north of Rushden and you have an even better chance of snow than me so you should be ok.

Showers moving away from here now.

However the upper cirrus and strata cloud seems to be moving in already from the West.

I was not expecting it until later on.

Slight worry as it may mean it is coming earlier and could indicate more development ,with more incursion of the warm air.

Also the ground will not be as cold tomorrow morning.  Probably me being over nervous:nonono:
