phew back down now (the DP) to 0.4'c and sleet starting to show in the rain :-D

Looks like the heavy stuff is staying south of near enough the exact same line as the event earlier on in the month, literally 5-10 miles south of here :-(

Some fairly big snow flakes in the rain. Think its def on the turn here met office has us down for heavy snow from 9pm. Could be an interesting night! Hope you all had a lovely christmas what a treat this is !!

Yep ..

 Defo  seeing large flakes to a greater and larger extent now.

Even my 'backup 'lampost'  is seeing a few flakes now..

Temperature at 1.6C and dew point is 0.5C.

 The Met offices estimate of 21:00 is going to be beaten here.

 Good luck folks. Lets see if we can mange a 12hr event from this.

Its a bit cheeky asking for more, since we managed 24 hour out of the last one.

Plain rain here at the moment, I'm further north than some of those reporting snow and at a decent elevation  I'll give it an hour or so

Steady rain since around 4.30pm now more and more snow mixing in.

90% snow now and just starting to ice over on the pavements.

Temp now down to 1.5C with d.point  of 0.3C. 

Down to 0.0C and we ahould see 'whiteness' appearing on the ground.
