1c  currently, was a very very brief flurry overnight leaving a dusting of a dusting:) nothing else on the horizon today by the looks of things.  Windy overnight tonight maybe, joy.

Jan and Feb are over rated, might see some snow in March or April though, but this season good, but a poor version of 2010-2011, that winter finished around Jan 9

I don't see how you believe Jan and Feb are worse winter months than March/April. That is simply not true, however you try and frame it. Yes, we haven't had a good Feb in a while, but that is just because the synoptics haven't came around at the right time, if we had March 2013 conditions in Feb, it would have been more severe.

A few patches of snow left but a shower of very wet snow in the early hours melted most of it.

Bright, cold and breezy start to the day before wind and rain rolls in tonight. BBC show a spell of snow here initially but I think that's unlikely.

A white dusting of snow over everything this morning, bitter cold wind. Clear skies at the moment apart from some showers building over to the west of us over the Welsh mountains.

Light dusting, grass still looks green, temps at 1.2c, but expected to reach 7 or 8 degrees overnight with the wind and rain.

5cm of snow here with the snow line around 160m. Dry and quite windy at the moment with the wind gusting to 50 mph and a temp' of 1.7c.

Some drifting of the snow in exposed areas. Nothing major but I've just been out onto the moor and there are drifts of 30-40cm against the walls. I'd imagine the really high and exposed areas like Snake Pass or Morridge Top might be a bit tricky.

Last nights shower didn't settle on ground but left a layer on cars which froze overnight.

Pehaps a few flakes over night as it looks like a bit of sugar on the grass.

Temp now at 3C and sunny though still quite breezy, with some high cirrus just beginning to move over from the west.

MIA.

Maybe some more sleet and snow showers later Thursday and during Friday. Wind direction looks better for here. NW instead of WNW.

There will be surprise falls of snow in our region tonight into tomorrow, very strong winds and plenty of precipitation are good indicators

The low showing up now on radar looks way further South and could bring the worst wind and gusts and maybe snow high ground North Mids.

Yep a very wet and windy night to come, always nice and cozy when you can hear the wind and rain outside
